Finally tried a DA sander vs. my old random orbital...

I was always using my old Porter Cable random orbital for blocking down primer on collision jobs. Last week I borrowed a buddy's Dynabrade DA sander on a 94 Mustang I was painting... night and day difference. The DA just cuts so much flatter with way less swirl marks. Has anyone else made the switch and found it worth the extra upfront cost?

Heard the same thing from a guy at the body shop supply counter.

Is it really that deep though? I mean yeah, some guys at the body shop counter are gonna echo whatever the hot gossip is but half the time they're just repeating what they heard from the last guy who heard it from someone else. Got a buddy who swears his uncle's coworker saw the same thing happen at a shop in Ohio and it turned out to be a busted seal. Feels like people get all worked up over nothing half the time.

Fancy tools just remind me how little natural talent I have.
