Told a customer their 2008 Camry roof rust was structural and they laughed at me, now I'm wondering if I'm too cautious with safety calls.

They said 'you just want my money' after I quoted $1,200 for the repair but the rust had eaten through to the headliner rail, has anyone else had a customer make you second-guess your own judgment like that?

What was the customer's reaction when you actually SHOWED them the rust hole going into the headliner rail? Did you pull the headliner down a bit so they could SEE the daylight coming through the roof, or did they just laugh at the quote before you got to that part?
