A guy at the car wash in Reno said my towel habit was grinding grit into my paint
Honestly I used to dry my car with one big bath towel, just wipe it all down and call it done. This older guy at a wash in Reno watched me for a minute and said "you're dragging dirt across your whole hood right now." I looked at the towel and yeah, it was gray and gritty by the time I got to the doors. Switched to a couple of soft microfiber cloths and rinse them after each use, and the swirl marks on my black paint quit getting worse. Anyone else learn this the hard way or was I the last one doing it wrong?
