Detailer neighbor swore by Windex on windows, 6 months later I get it
My neighbor Mike who does cars on the side told me to skip the fancy glass stuff and just use Windex with newspaper, I thought he was crazy but tried it on my Jeep last spring. Now I'm honestly wondering if he's onto something cause the streaks that kept coming back with my microfiber rags are just gone, anyone else got a weird old-school trick like this that actually works better?
The newspaper thing is real, I've done it for years on my own truck. Windex works fine, but the trick is the paper doesn't leave lint behind like cloth does. Microfiber can trap dirt and drag it across the glass, which is probably where your streaks were coming from. Old school guys knew what they were doing, same reason they use coffee filters for screens. Simple stuff usually wins.
