I was a two bucket wash guy for years until I saw what was actually happening

I used to swear by the two bucket method with grit guards. Then one day I was washing my F-150 in the sun and noticed the water in my rinse bucket was totally clear after scrubbing the whole truck. I grabbed the wash bucket and dipped my hand in, felt all that grit and dirt just floating around still. Took me 6 months to realize I was just pushing dirt around with that setup, not actually removing it. Has anyone else ditched the two bucket thing for something like ONR or a different rinseless wash?

Six months before you figured out you were just giving your truck a muddy bath? That's like me realizing after a year that my "no rinse" method was just dry wiping dust deeper into the clear coat. We're all just out here inventing new ways to scratch our paint.
