Showerthought: I spent 14 hours over two weekends trying to get hard water spots off my rear window
So I moved to Phoenix about a year back and the water here is brutal. My rear window looked like it was frosted from the inside, all these white crusty spots that I figured would come off with a normal wash. First attempt was just soap and a microfiber, maybe 20 minutes, did nothing. Second weekend I bought some vinegar and let it sit, still nothing, another hour gone. Then I tried a clay bar and that took off maybe half of them but my arm was dead after 45 minutes of scrubbing one window. I finally read that you need a water spot remover with an acid in it, and a guy at a parts store in Tempe said the same thing. Took me about 30 seconds of actually using the right stuff to see it start working. Anyone else in a hard water area found something that works better, or is this just a thing we live with?
