Am I the only one who thinks tech manuals are getting way too simple?
I was at a GA shop last Tuesday looking at a Cessna 172 panel and the factory wiring diagram was so stripped down it barely showed anything past the breaker. On one hand I get it, simpler saves time for new guys. But on the other hand, when I had to trace a weird voltage drop last month that manual left me guessing for 2 hours. Do you prefer the old detailed schematics or are the new simplified ones better for your workflow?

Honestly, I've been there too. I just keep a saved copy of the old full schematic on my phone for those deep dives and use the simple one for quick checks.

Right lmao @lily_torres31 that's exactly what I do too. Saved the old PDF on my phone specifically for when the new diagram just doesn't cut it and I gotta dig into some weird wiring issue. Nice to know I'm not the only one hoarding the old version lol.
