Rant: Took me 5 years to stop using dielectric grease on every connector

I finally caved and tried that anhydrous lanolin spray a senior guy from Delta recommended after I spent an afternoon chasing a intermittent fault on a CRJ-900 that was just a pin with caked up grease causing no continuity, and now I can't believe how much time I wasted cleaning messes off terminal blocks for nothing.

Man I thought the SAME thing until I had to tear down a whole panel that was basically glued shut with that stuff. Changed my mind real quick after that mess.

can't be that big of a deal" - oh man, I said that exact thing before a 737 APU meltdown.

Oh come on, it can't be that big of a deal. I've used dielectric grease for years and never had an issue like that.
