Was dead set against automating our onboarding emails, but after missing 3 follow-ups in one week I gave in
Set up a simple 5-email sequence in HubSpot and our trial-to-paid conversion jumped 12% in two weeks. Has anyone else had automation change their mind about something they were stubborn about?

Yeah my stubborn streak came crashing down real fast too. I was the person saying "automation feels impersonal" until I realized I forgot to send welcome emails to three new signups in one day. Now I have a basic 4 email workflow in Mailchimp and it's honestly embarrassing how much better the numbers look. Did you fight yourself on it for months before finally giving in like I did?

Oh the months of mental gymnastics were real. It’s wild how we convince ourselves we’re being authentic when really we’re just burning out for no reason.

Tbh I dragged my feet for almost a year before I caved. I kept telling myself "people want real human touch" while I was losing leads left and right because I couldn't keep up. Ngl the first time I set up an autoresponder I felt like I was cheating, but then I saw the open rates and felt pretty dumb for waiting so long. Honestly solidarity on this one, it's humbling when the numbers prove you wrong.
