Pro tip: found out my own invoices were leaking time data to clients

I was reviewing a dashboard last Tuesday and noticed our billing system was stamping internal review timestamps onto the PDFs we send out. A client in Austin pointed it out after they saw I worked on their quote at 11pm on a Sunday. That little metadata detail made me look desperate and unorganized, even though the work was fine. I spent a full afternoon scrubbing document properties and building a clean export template. Has anyone else dealt with hidden metadata or file info slipping out in client deliverables? What tools do you use to strip that stuff automatically?

Man, 11pm on a Sunday seems pretty normal for freelancers honestly. Half my clients probably assume I'm grinding at weird hours anyway. Like, I get the metadata thing but who's actually checking that stuff?
