Question about cold outreach. For years I thought more emails meant more leads. My open rate was 12%. Then a client in Chicago flat out said 'Your email looked like spam, almost deleted it.' That hit me. So what's better, high volume or highly targeted?

Oh man, that's a brutal way to learn the lesson. Look, sending a ton of spammy emails is like shouting at a crowd from across the street. Sure, a few people might glance over, but they're just annoyed. Sending a few good emails to the right people is like walking up and having a real talk. One gets you ignored, the other might actually start a conversation. The Chicago guy did you a favor.

But isn't that a false choice?
