Unpopular opinion: I quit doing full proposals for B2B leads and send a one page pricing sheet instead
Spent 4 hours on a 15 page proposal for a logistics client in Baltimore back in March and never heard a word. Now I send a single page with the price, the timeline, and two references, and my close rate jumped from about 1 in 8 to 1 in 3 over the last 6 months. Buyers in b2b don't read the deck, they just want to know the number and whether you've done it before. The fancy proposal was mostly me hiding behind work instead of asking for the sale. Anyone else cut their sales docs way down and see the same thing?
