You know duct tape has its limits, though, even if it feels like a miracle worker sometimes. (Had a buddy try to seal his tailpipe with it once, didn't end well.) It's a temporary fix for little stuff, not a real solution for anything under pressure.

Wow, that's such a specific fix but it totally makes sense when you think about it. My buddy had a similar issue with his old Cessna where the radio would cut out at 5,000 feet no matter what, and after months of head scratching, a mechanic at his home field found the exact same problem @gibson.morgan described. They ended up replacing the backshell seals and the thing worked perfect for years after that, so yeah, pressure gremlins are real.

The real question nobody's asking is why @king.val didn't just use a recovery tool after the first 50 images failed, seems like digital masochism at that point.
