Update: my roommate's "unbreakable" titanium dishes came in 4 days ago and we're already down to 3 bowls
He spent $89 on a full set from some online shop, then tried to prove they were unbreakable by dropping one off our 2nd floor balcony in Austin, and now he's asking me to split the cost of replacements, so has anyone else had a roommate break his own stuff and still ask you to pay?

Oh man this hits home. My old roommate bought this $200 "shatterproof" glass cookware set and like a week later he's trying to flip a pan like a chef and it smashes on the tile, then he's texting me a Venmo request for half because "we both use the kitchen." I just laughed and sent him a screenshot of the listing that said shatterproof. Dude broke his own toy showing off, that's on him, not you.
