My cake layers come out uneven every time I bake them

I switched to using baking strips around my pans and now they're level, have you tried this?

Wait, really?! I mean, I've been baking for years and my layers are always crooked. I tried everything like lowering the oven temp or even cutting them flat after, but it never looks right. You're telling me these strips just fix it like that? Idk, maybe it's just me but that sounds too good to be true. I gotta try this now.

Understand the strips work while baking, not after. They stop the edges from cooking too fast so the whole cake rises evenly. Nothing to trim later.

The strips need to be wet before you wrap the pans.

I was pretty skeptical too, seemed like a gimmick. Grabbed some on a whim last month and my layers are actually flat now. Guess they really do work.
