My old flip phone lasted 8 years, my smartphone died on day 731 exactly
Honestly my Samsung Galaxy S21 just bricked itself last Tuesday in the middle of a Walmart parking lot in Tucson. No drop, no water, just black screen forever. Meanwhile I had a $30 Tracfone from 2011 that survived being run over by a bike, tossed in a lake, and dropped down a stairwell. Got banned from a tech subreddit for saying planned obsolescence is real and companies design these things to fail after 2 years. Someone called me a conspiracy nut and mods removed my post. Anyone else keep a dumb phone as backup just to spite your smartphone?
