That "shadow ban" on my recipe site turned out to be a real ban

Posted a chili recipe with a note about using canned beans vs dried, got zero traffic for 2 weeks, then found the whole page was pulled. Turns out my host's spam filter hated the word "dollar" in a comment reply, so the question is: do you fight the system or just post elsewhere?

Wait, so the spam filter flagged the word "dollar" but not the actual spam comments that are probably all over your site? That seems backwards. Did you try asking your host to explain the exact trigger, or did they just give you the runaround?

nah filters are dumb, probably flagged you on purpose, host wont help with that.
