Got scammed on those "pro" clipper blades from an online shop
I ordered a set of clipper blades from a site called BladesRUs last month and they were dull right out of the box. Cost me $45 plus shipping and they couldn't even cut through a dry hair test I did. Any of you guys dealt with fake blade sellers and found a way to spot them?

Nah that sucks man, sorry you got burned. What tipped me off the last time I almost fell for a site like that was how they only showed the product from one angle or in the package never actually cutting anything. Did the product page have any real video of someone using them or just those stock Photoshop close ups? Another thing is check if the site lists actual brand names or just calls them "pro" or "heavy duty" without a real manufacturer. I started reverse image searching the product photos too, half the time it's just stolen from AliExpress.

Yeah that "pro" or "heavy duty" thing with no brand name is always a dead giveaway. Did you actually try reverse searching the photos and find the exact same listing on AliExpress for like $8?

Start by playing devil's advocate here (not that I'm defending scam sites or anything). I mean, some legit small brands actually do just use generic photos and simple descriptions because they're not great at marketing, not because they're trying to rip you off @nguyen.blake. Plus, even big companies like Amazon Basics don't always have fancy brand names or videos on every listing, so it's not always a red flag by itself.
