Wish someone told me sooner about clipper blade alignment
Been cutting hair for 12 years at my shop on Main Street. The last three months I kept wondering why my fades were coming out uneven. Changed blades, oiled more, even sent my clippers in for service. Turned out the blade was just a hair off center. I checked it with a flashlight and saw the gap. Took me 30 seconds to adjust it with a screwdriver. Made a huge difference. Any of you guys ever had this happen and not realize it?

Happens with so many things in life, right? Sometimes you're looking for this big complicated fix when it's just one tiny thing that's been off the whole time.

Listen to @nancyjones, she's right about that. I had a water heater making noises for two weeks and was ready to call a plumber for a $300 service call, but it just needed the pressure relief valve bled out a little. Always check the cheap stuff first, even if it feels too simple to be the problem.

My car did this exact thing last month - the check engine light was on for three days and I'd already priced out a $400 sensor replacement. Turned out the gas cap was just slightly loose from when I'd filled up at that weird station off Route 9. Do you think most people jump to the complicated answer because the simple fix feels too easy to be real?
