Watched my mom's copay jump from $12 to $95 for the same inhaler after one pharmacy switch
She changed from CVS to a local shop in Dayton last month and suddenly the insurance contract was different, so now I'm wondering if big pharma just plays hide and seek with which pharmacy gets the good rates, has anyone else seen this kind of price flip for no reason?
Have you checked if the local shop is even in the same insurance network as CVS? I mean, my brother once switched pharmacies for his blood pressure pills and the price doubled, but it turned out the new place just wasn't "preferred" anymore. It's wild how the same drug can cost totally different amounts depending on which building you walk into.
