Am I the only one who watched a whole season of a British baking show with no subtitles and understood way more than I expected
Three weeks ago I turned on a season of The Great British Bake Off while folding laundry and forgot to switch on subtitles, and by episode 4 I was catching almost every joke about soggy bottoms and proving dough without missing a beat. I always assumed I needed the captions because of the accents, but apparently my brain just needed a few hours to lock in. Does anyone else find that some shows are actually easier to follow once you stop reading along and just listen?
