Binged a 14-season crime show I swore I'd never touch, now I get it

Tbh I avoided NCIS for a decade because my dad watched it on loop, but last month I gave it one episode during a sick day and blew through 4 seasons in 2 weeks. The character arcs are way deeper than the memes suggest, has anyone else caved on a show they mocked and ended up obsessed?
