Finally tried watching anime subbed instead of dubbed, total game changer for me

I used to always watch dubbed shows cause I thought reading subtitles would be annoying. Last week I gave subbed a shot with Attack on Titan season 2 cause my friend wouldn't shut up about it. The voice acting just hits different, you can feel the emotion way more when it's the original cast. Now I'm going back and rewatching stuff I already saw in dub mode lol. Has anyone else switched sides on this or am I just late to the party?

Eren's scream in Japanese gave me chills I never got from the English version. Subbed voices just carry more raw emotion, period. Once you notice the difference, going back to dubbed feels like watching a cartoon.

@the_drew has a point about the Japanese voice acting hitting harder. Try watching an episode in Japanese with subs, then switch to the dubbed version - the difference in delivery is night and day. Once you get used to the raw emotion, the English voices just feel like they're reading lines off a page.
