My roommate binges way faster and it's causing show spoilers all the time

We started this cool sci-fi series together, but he finished the whole season in two days while I'm only halfway. Now he keeps almost revealing big twists when we chat, and I have to dodge details. On one hand, watching solo lets you go at your own speed, but sharing those wow moments live is half the fun. Where do you stand on syncing up binge sessions versus going solo to avoid spoilers?

Man that's the worst, when the surprise gets ruined by someone who can't help themselves lol. But do you ever worry that watching totally alone kills the social part of it? Like, is the trade-off worth losing all those shared reactions just to keep a plot twist secret?

Thought syncing up was essential for sharing reactions. My old viewing partner raced ahead and let a huge twist slip during a casual talk. That moment made me switch to watching solo first, then discussing after. You lose some live excitement, but keeping surprises intact matters more.

Absolutely. That careful balance is so real. I had a friend casually mention a main character's death while we were making coffee, totally forgetting I was two episodes behind. The shock was just gone. Now I watch alone with my phone off.

My show's Season 3 got spoiled, so @finleyl39, I just watch alone now too.
