Spent $175 on a power hammer jig and it actually worked

I was dead set against buying a jig for my 25lb Little Giant, figured I could just wing it like I always do. After three messed up leaf spring hooks in a row I finally caved and bought a basic spring tool holder jig from a guy in Ohio. Has anyone else had a cheap tool fix make them feel stupid for not buying it sooner?

Wait, you mean I'm NOT supposed to just beat my metal into shape with pure stubbornness and bad language? (asking for a friend, haha) @sagecooper, you hit the nail on the head - I spent a whole weekend fighting with a spring that kept slipping off my hammer before I finally caved and bought the jig. It took me like 30 minutes to set it up, and now I'm kicking myself for all the wasted time and ruined metal. That cheap little fix made me look at every other "I'll figure it out" tool setup I have and question my life choices.

Hate it when being stubborn costs me more time than the actual fix.
