Fell for that fancy deck protector kickstarter and lost $120

I backed this Kickstarter last spring for these 'ultimate' deck protectors that were supposed to be magnetic and waterproof and everything. They promised they'd fit any standard card game box and protect against spills at game night. Well, four months late they finally showed up and they don't even fit my copy of Dominion. The magnets are weak too so the whole thing falls apart if you tilt it. I tried to resell them on a local buy and sell group over in Denver but nobody wanted them. So basically I'm out $120 and stuck with a pile of useless plastic. Has anyone else had a bad experience with board game accessories from crowdfunding?

Oh man, Kickstarter can be such a gamble. Your mileage definitely varies on those.

At least you can use them as fancy coasters for $120.
