Dropped $60 on a special book light and it still can't beat my phone flashlight for reading in bed
Bought this fancy clip-on light with adjustable warmth and brightness thinking it would change my late night reading game, but after three nights of it flickering and falling off my hardcover, I grabbed my old iPhone and realized the flashlight app with a red filter works way better and cost me nothing extra, has anyone else found a book light that actually stays put without blinding you?
Three nights of that thing falling off my book and I'd be ready to throw it across the room. I went through three different brands before giving up and just using a headlamp. The red light setting on my Black Diamond saves my wife from getting blinded and stays put on my forehead no matter how I'm laying. Probably cost me thirty bucks but I use it for everything from camping to fixing the mower blades, so it pulls double duty. Your mileage may vary on comfort though, some folks hate wearing a strap to bed.
Funny how the stuff we use in the dark reveals what we actually need. I swear half my household fixes happened because I was too stubborn to buy the right thing until my ghetto setup finally gave out. Your black diamond sounds like one of those items you don't know you need until you have it.
