Our book club just finished our 100th book and the number hit me hard

We started as a small group of four friends in my living room, picking random paperbacks. Last night, after we wrapped up our talk on 'The Vanishing Half', I looked at our shared list and saw we'd hit 100 books exactly. It wasn't just the number, it was seeing all the titles together, from the easy reads to the tough ones we almost quit. That list is a record of ten years of arguments, friendships made, and a few people who left over a fight about an ending. It made me think about how much a simple monthly meeting can quietly shape your life. Has your group ever hit a milestone that made you stop and look back at the whole journey?

Always thought book clubs were silly... until I saw your list and felt that.

Figured book clubs were just an excuse to drink wine and chat. Reading your post made it click for me. That list isn't just books, it's a map of ten years of your lives. Makes me wonder what I've missed by not sticking with something like that.

Wow, that's honestly amazing. A hundred books is such a huge thing, and over ten years? It really is a record of your life in a way. I get what you mean about it being more than the number, it's all the stuff that happened around those meetings. The list of titles probably brings back a memory for every single one. That's really special.
