Wasted $90 on a cheap bone folder that warped after two months

I bought a cheap plastic bone folder off Amazon because I didn't want to spend $25 on a real one. After two months of regular use it warped in the middle from the heat of my hands and left uneven creases on every book. Ended up buying a Teflon folder from a specialty shop in Portland and it's been perfect. Anyone else have a tool they cheaped out on that just didn't hold up?

Wait, wait - the heat from your HANDS actually warped it?! That's insane to me! I've never heard of something melting just from normal body heat, that's like a whole other level of cheap. @wade250 you're totally right, it feels like companies are competing to see who can make the most disposable garbage these days. I had a similar thing happen with a cheap awl where the handle just crumbled in my grip after a few weeks. I'm honestly impressed your bone folder lasted two months before giving up on life.

Man my buddy had the same thing happen with a cheap chisel. He was just holding it and the handle got all sticky and deformed. @wade250 you're right, it's like they're using plastic that melts just from your hand warmth.

Has anyone else noticed how the "cheap version" of almost anything just warps or breaks these days, not just tools? It's like everything's made to barely survive.
