Hit 300 pages in my bujo last week and it freaked me out

Man, I feel this deep in my bones. There's something about seeing that big number that hits different, like a concrete proof that you've actually been doing the work and not just thinking about doing it. I had the same freakout when I realized I'd filled two whole journals in a year and honestly it made me kind of emotional. All those little notes and random thoughts added up to a real record of my life. It's not about comparing it to a novel or whatever, it's about the fact that you built a habit that ACTUALLY stuck.

My campus charges $350 for a free speech permit - then rejected me anyway

Nah, $350 for a permit is wild when you consider free speech is literally protected. The security guard was probably just on a power trip, not being "careful" about some old protest.

Tried one of those cheap seam rollers from Harbor Freight

Man I feel you hard on this one. You said "just a seam roller" and that's exactly what I thought too before I got burned. I bought a cheap carpet seaming iron from a hardware store clearance bin and it worked fine for like three small rooms. Then on a big living room job the sole plate started sticking and melting the backing. That ruined a whole 15 foot seam and I had to pull it up and redo it just like you did. Cost me way more than the cheap tool saved. It's like these budget tools are designed to last just long enough to trick you into thinking they're good. I've learned my lesson now, for carpet tools especially you gotta go with the brand name stuff even if it hurts the wallet upfront.

I finally saw the difference a good layer manager makes after 3 years of messy files

Right there with you, looking at old layers like they were drawn by a toddler.

Unpopular opinion: I picked evaporated milk over condensed milk for my pantry and never looked back

bro same here lmao. i tried evaporated milk in my chili last week too and it was honestly life changing. i used the same carnation 12 oz can and it thickened everything up without turning it into dessert soup. my wife was like "why does this chili taste like a milkshake?" but i swear it didn't lol. i also started putting it in my mac and cheese instead of regular milk and it makes it so creamy without being sweet. guess i'm just a savory evaporated milk convert now, sorry not sorry.
