Just realized I've been killing my pothos by watering it on a schedule for 2 years
My pothos 'Kevin' was dropping leaves left and right, so I finally stuck my finger in the soil instead of just dumping a cup of water in every Sunday like I'd been doing since 2023. Turns out the poor guy was soaked at the bottom of the pot because the top inch felt dry way faster than the middle ever did, so I was basically drowning him on a timer for no reason. Switched to watering only when the soil is dry about 2 inches down and he's already pushing out 3 new leaves in the kitchen window. How do you all figure out when to water stuff that lives in bigger pots without just guessing?
