My aunt told me to freeze leftover tomato paste and I ignored her for 2 years
Finally tried it after tossing out half a can for the 10th time. Just scoop spoonfuls onto wax paper, freeze, then toss them in a bag. Now I always have tomato paste ready for chili or sauce. Cost me $0 extra and saves me from buying those tiny tubes for $2 each. Took me way too long to listen to her. Anyone else have family advice they brushed off that turned out to be gold?

Freeze basically everything, leftovers are meal prep.

Read somewhere that freezing actually locks in nutrients too, @blakestone.
