That time I tried the 'meal prep Sunday' thing at Costco and it blew my budget

Last month I went to Costco with a list for meal prepping lunches for the whole week. I spent $85 on bulk chicken, rice, and veggies then got home and realized I forgot half the spices I needed. Ended up spending another $22 at the regular grocery store just for seasoning and jars. Has anyone else had a big box store trip backfire on their budget like that?

Ugh, been there, those "quick Costco trips" always end up costing me way more than I planned.

Those "quick Costco trips" are a beautiful lie, aren't they? I went in for a $5 rotisserie chicken and walked out with a 48-pack of hot sauce for $12 because it was such a good deal. @faith_shah88 I feel your pain, now I have enough buffalo sauce to last until my grandkids are born, but my wallet is still crying.
