Seeds instead of plants chopped my hobby cost down to size.
I was tired of blowing cash on expensive nursery plants. Growing everything from seeds this year saved me hundreds. How do you keep your creative projects budget-friendly?
Saw my buddy Mark try this last spring. He grabbed a pack of tomato seeds for like two bucks instead of those pricey starters. Ended up with so many plants he was giving them away to neighbors. Said it cut his garden costs by more than half. Even had extra for herbs and flowers from seed mixes. Now he's hooked and plans his whole plot from seed catalogs.
Was totally against seeds for years. Thought starters were the only way to go. Tried a packet of bell peppers on a whim last season, cost me maybe three dollars. Got like eight healthy plants out of it, completely changed my whole view.
