Finally stuck with monthly spreads over weekly ones, and it actually clicked for me
I spent like 4 months going back and forth between weekly and monthly layouts for my bullet journal. My weekly spreads always ended up half empty by Wednesday and I felt like I was wasting pages. So I switched to a simple monthly setup with a habit tracker on the facing page back in October and I've kept it going for 8 weeks straight now. Has anyone else found that a simpler layout just works better for them long term?

My buddy Matt went through the exact same thing. He started with these elaborate weekly layouts with color coding and stickers, spent two hours every Sunday setting it up. Then he just stopped using it entirely for like three months. He came back with a plain monthly calendar on a single page and a tiny checkbox list for his work to-dos and said it was the only way he could actually stick with it.

Did he ditch the stickers completely?

Hear you on that, it's like the more time you put into setting something up, the less you actually use it. Simple and easy is the only way to keep going long term.
