My new bullet journal is bleeding through the pages

I bought a cheap notebook from the dollar store to test layouts before using my good one. The ink from my basic gel pen bled through so badly I can't use the back of any page. What's a good, cheap notebook that won't do this?

Actually the bleed through can be a useful feature. It lets you see your layout ideas from the previous page as a faint guide, saves you having to redraw it.

My old Moleskine from 2018 is full of pages where I tried to block out ghosting with marker. Honestly I always saw it as a flaw that ruined my sketches. Tbh your point about using it as a layout guide just clicked for me. I guess I was so focused on fighting it I never thought to use it. Ngl that's a way better way to look at it.

Totally get that! I used to stress so hard about ghosting. Now I just pretend my past self left me helpful, if slightly drunk, layout notes.
