Serious question, why does everyone push Facebook ads for local service businesses?
I went with Google Local Services ads instead and got 12 actual booked jobs in my first month for about $400, while a buddy spent $600 on Facebook with zero calls, so has anyone else seen the same disconnect between what the gurus preach and what actually works on the ground?

My Facebook ad budget bought me three likes and a guy asking if I could fix his lawnmower.

man I feel that so hard. you gotta stop thinking of Facebook ads like a miracle cure and start treating them like a slow burn. first off, ditch the generic boost post button and actually set up a proper audience in Ads Manager. target people who already follow local businesses similar to yours, not just some broad age range. second, your offer has to be super specific like "free yard check and tune up" instead of just "we fix lawnmowers." and for real, run the ad for at least 5-7 days before judging it, not just a weekend.
