The day every cold email I sent actually got a reply

It was a Tuesday back in March 2019, and I had just sent out 40 cold emails to potential clients for my little marketing side gig. By the end of that day, I got 12 replies, and 7 of them turned into calls. I still don't know what I did right (maybe the subject lines were just perfect that day?), but it was the best marketing week I ever had. Has anyone else had a weirdly good day like that where everything just clicked?

Twelve replies out of forty is insane, I once got eight replies from a batch of thirty and thought I'd won the lottery. @fiona_kim is right though, those days usually show up right when you're about to give up, and then they drag you right back in.

That 7 out of 12 converting is wild, I don't think I've ever had a ratio that good even on my best days. It's like when you find a parking spot right in front of the store on a Saturday, or your coffee order is perfect every time for a whole week, those little things just pile up and make you feel like you're on the right track. I've noticed that those weirdly good days usually come after a long stretch of just grinding without much to show for it, almost like the universe is paying you back for all the quiet times.

Can't stop thinking about those lucky days where the universe just lines up for you. Really glad you got that moment, those are the ones that keep you going when things get quiet. Bet you still look back at those subject lines every now and then wishing you could bottle whatever magic was in them. It's funny how sometimes you hit all the right notes without even trying, makes you wonder what the secret sauce really was.
