inJust spent 3 hours trying to match a 10-foot cathedral ceiling texture from a 1978 repair patch.
Try a little joint compound mixed with fine sand, that’s usually the old school texture.

inPro tip: I think losing the struggle with old drawing tablets made artists worse.
But what if the tool frees up your brain to handle bigger messes? @emmam89 maybe we learn a different, maybe better, instinct for seeing the whole problem instead of getting stuck in the small stuff.

inPSA: I spent $80 on a 'government-proof' signal jammer that was just a plastic box
What gets me is how they always look so cheap and flimsy... like a bit of shiny tape. My aunt bought a pack for her whole family, swore it stopped her headaches. I didn't have the heart to tell her it was probably just placebo. It really does show how a simple, wrong idea can spread faster than the actual facts.

Yeah, that tracks. We had the same fight about using brazed carbide tools for roughing out big pockets in soft materials. Everyone moved to indexable, but sometimes the old solid tools just hog out material without the chatter. What about using a stub length drill instead of a jobber for deep holes in aluminum? Less flex means you can push it harder without walking.
