Yeah, I mean, terry835 has a point about the gear being tough. My old mixer gave out after one big batch of burger patties, and it was a real mess. Makes you respect the simple tools that just keep going.

That line about respecting simple tools really hits home. I used to always want the fanciest gadget with the most buttons. Then my dad's old hand crank drill outlasted three of my power tools. Sometimes the basic stuff just has less to break.
