That trade show in Charlotte made me question my whole glue setup

Walked the IWF floor last month and watched a guy from a small shop in Ohio do a full edge banding demo with zero clamps, just a hot glue system I'd never seen. Has anyone else switched off traditional wood glue for production work, or am I just stubborn about my Titebond?

Still married to my Titebond, but mostly because I'm scared of change.

Being scared of change is exactly how I felt for years, Titebond was all I knew. But last winter I had a big cabinet order and the customer kept changing the edge profiles on me, that's when I finally tried a hot melt system on a rental machine just to get through the job. Now I run hot glue for all my plastic laminate and edge banding, and I keep the Titebond around only for real wood joints where I need more open time. The learning curve was shorter than I thought, mostly just getting the temp right and learning to move fast before it sets. I'm not saying ditch what works, but if you get a chance to test one at a local supplier, take it, it changed how I plan my whole shop floor.
