Static electricity explains most sensor dust issues, I think
It attracts particles from places you'd never expect.

Absolutely... static was ruining my shots with these tiny gray specks all the time. I finally got serious about using a rocket bulb blower before every single lens swap now. I point the camera mount down, give it a few good squeezes inside, and it made a huge difference. It sounds simple but being super strict about that routine saved me so much cleaning hassle later.

Wow, static is such a pain with those tiny gray specks! They always show up right in the worst parts of the image. I totally get being strict with the rocket blower before every lens change. It feels like a small step but it makes a huge difference in keeping the sensor clean. Skipping that routine even once meant I'd spend ages cleaning spots later in editing. Now I do the exact same thing, pointing the mount down and giving it a few good squeezes. It really does save so much hassle and lets you focus on shooting instead of cleaning.

My Nikon D750 picks up static like crazy. I started using the blower every time (even though it's a pain) and it cut my editing time in half. Now I don't even think about it, just part of the routine.

Wait you guys are only dealing with tiny gray specks? My D750 pulls in these huge dark smudges that look like someone smeared charcoal on the sensor. I had no idea static could even do that. It got so bad I was scared I cracked something inside the camera. Maybe my blower isn't strong enough or I need to check my lens seals.
