Rant: My tent flooded during a storm last June and ruined a whole trip
I was camping up near Lake Almanor for a 4 day weekend. First night was fine, second night a storm rolled in around midnight. I woke up to my sleeping bag soaking wet because water seeped right through the floor of my tent. Turns out the fly wasn't long enough to keep rain off the bathtub sides. That one night cost me the rest of the trip because everything was wet. I packed up at 6am and drove home. Anyone else dealt with tents that just don't handle real rain?

Honestly though... maybe it was your tent setup and not the tent itself? I've had the same cheap Coleman for years and it's been through some serious downpours without leaking, just gotta make sure you seam seal it and pitch it right...

Isn't a properly pitched tent supposed to handle rain on its own?
