Found my debate skills fading after weeks of protest all-nighters
I could barely string two sentences together in class. It hit me that if you're too tired to speak, free speech doesn't mean much. Now I choose sleep over late-night arguing.

Schedule your outrage like it's a gym session. Block out two hours max for deep research or drafting arguments, then shut it down. I used to set a phone reminder to close all political tabs by 9 pm, no excuses. Your brain needs idle time to actually form coherent points, otherwise you're just recycling tired slogans. The good fights will still be there tomorrow, and you'll be sharp enough to land a punch.

Realize you just said you choose SLEEP over arguing. Wow. The whole point of free speech is having the energy to use it. That trade-off is honestly scary.

The real pro tip is realizing your best argument looks real dumb when you're too tired to form words. Saw someone try to debate basic zoning laws after three all-nighters and it was just sad mumbling about 'the principle of the thing'. Free speech needs a brain that's actually turned on, otherwise you're just free mumbling. Gotta keep the lights on upstairs if you want to win anything. A sharp point needs a sharp mind, period.
