Warning: one biased source locked up my research paper for 3 extra weeks
Spent 3 full weeks hunting down the primary source for a term paper on campus protest policy because a student blog kept misquoting a 2019 student senate meeting at Ohio State, and my professor would not accept the blog as a source. If you cite a campus speech story, go find the actual meeting minutes first, has anyone else lost that kind of time to a bad secondhand quote?
Reminds me of the time I spent a whole weekend tracking down a town hall video from some city council meeting in Michigan just to confirm a quote about a bike lane. The video was two hours long and the quote was at the 1 hour 47 minute mark. Three weeks sounds brutal though, at least mine was only two days of my life gone.
