Remembering when a customer's complaint about a joke on our truck's radio made me rethink everything we broadcast
After a client in Seattle said our moving crew's talk radio was playing a host with some pretty harsh views, which made her uncomfortable, we switched to just playing music or podcasts from a pre-approved list to keep the vibe professional for everyone.

Come on, you can't please everyone all the time!

Trying to make everyone happy is a fast track to burnout, ivan_murphy80. Learned that after my third committee meeting where we changed the logo color five times. Just do your best and let the rest go.

But that's exactly why you have to try. If you just do your best and let it go, the logo ends up being some ugly compromise that no one actually likes. The goal isn't to make everyone happy, it's to find the right answer. Sometimes that means pushing back in that fifth meeting, not just giving up to avoid the argument. Letting it go feels easier but it often just means settling for worse work.
