The can opener broke mid-dinner and I used a church key and a screwdriver
Tuesday night in Tulsa while making chili, my electric opener gave up on the third can of tomatoes, so I popped the lid with a manual opener from my grandpa's toolbox and it actually worked better, has anyone else gone back to the old twist style after a failure?

Isn't it funny how the stuff our grandparents used always ends up being the best? I had the same thing happen a few years back, my fancy one just gave up on a can of beans and I dug out this old one from my mom's kitchen drawer. The twist kind takes a little more elbow grease, but man, it never jams or quits on you. Plus there's something kind of satisfying about hearing that pop and knowing you did it yourself. I bet your grandpa would be pretty proud to know his tool still gets the job done.
