PSA: Rearranging my bookshelf over the weekend kinda fixed how I handle work deadlines.

I mean, grouping stuff by color first was a mess, but sorting by topic after made things way clearer, idk maybe it's just me but now I chunk my tasks the same way.

My system is just piles...

Ever try just using sticky notes for each pile? I got overwhelmed with stacks of paper until I put one note on top of each pile with what's in it. It lets you see everything at a glance without actually sorting it all yet.

Piles have a way of growing when you're not looking. Before you know it, every flat surface is covered in paper mountains. In my experience, that system falls apart the moment you need a single document from the bottom. Sticky notes sound nice, but they just become more things to lose in the heap. It's like trying to organize a tornado with a broom. You might as well embrace the chaos and call it an art installation.

Honestly, my piles are less of a system and more like a little ecosystem... they just sort of live and grow on their own. I tried the sticky note thing once, but then I just had a pile of sticky notes on top of my other piles. It felt like I was organizing the organizers, which is where I officially gave up. Maybe my real talent is just making a mess look intentional.
