Silent quitting for 2 weeks got me a raise in Pittsburgh

Started doing the bare minimum at my logistics job after they denied my vacation request twice. No extra calls, no staying late, stopped covering for the lazy guy in receiving. Manager called me in last Friday shocked I was 'burned out' and offered me $3,200 more a year to stay engaged. Funny how they only notice effort when it stops. Has anyone else seen this backfire instead?
