Skill cert on my resume backfired at the interview

Tbh I added a project management cert I got online to my resume and the hiring guy spent 20 minutes grilling me on it. Turned out he had the same one and could tell I crammed for it in 3 days. Learned my lesson, now I only list stuff I can talk about from real experience. Anyone else had a credential that made things worse?
